Casting The Face...
Here is a video of myself, a peer and my tutor casting my chosen models face. I felt that a video of the process would be more effective than a step by step guide. This is simply because of the detail you can achieve from a video and it becomes more realistic.
The second part of the casting is adding a jacket to the alginate that has already been applied and has set. Making sure that is has a strong support is crucial. How to do this?
Apply ready cut plaster cast sheets to water, activate by scrunching in your hands. Let water drip from the sheet before applying to face, once satisfied with the coverage leave to set and harden.
